If you watch "Grey's Anatomy," you've seen the pilot episode of this spin-off -- it was an actual episode of the show last season. Following Kate Walsh's Addison to California, "Private Practice" will follow the "Grey's" formula of showing a variety of attractive medical practitioners in various disciplines working cases while having sex with one another. Except this time, it's not in a hospital. It's in a... private practice. See what they did there?
| Aaron's take: | Success is all but assured for this spinoff, except the presence of so many retreads (Tim Daly, Amy Brenneman, Taye Diggs) is troubling given that "Grey's" became a hit with a cast of mostly fresh faces. Also, the writers seem to think making fun of alternative healing will score points in the flyover -- except we've got wellness centers, too. |
